This full-day excursion to Cachi from Salta is a visual journey through northern Argentina. Via Route 33, you discover the Quebrada de Escoipe and then the famous Cuesta del Obispo, a winding road surrounded by rock walls, up to the highest point at Piedra del Molino at 3348 m. From there, the landscape changes radically: the Recta del Tin Tin, a long straight line inherited from the Incas, crosses Los Cardones National Park and its giant candelabra cacti.
Arrival in Cachi is around lunchtime. The village charms with its perfectly preserved colonial architecture, its church, its museum and its authentic Andean atmosphere. In 12 hours, you enjoy a dense day, ideal for discovering a more mineral, rural and deeply photogenic Argentina. The journey is fully part of the experience.
